I think my primary motivator for creating this image is how badly I want to be in shape while wearing hand wraps covered in someone else's blood.

(I don't think I'm kidding—I just checked.)

Kelly here may be my favourite character to paint.

Reminds me of the Rippers from Tank Girl. Awesome work.

They made a film out of tank girl? Woah!

I was actually thinking the comic but the film was fun too.

I've been meaning to look into the comic, myself. Ashley Wood is a good time, methinks.

Yeah, I've been meaning to purchase the comic. What I've read from it is great and I love Jamie Hewlett's art.

Your work continues to impress, my friend. This is very slick.

As for wish fulfillment? Anyone in particulars blood you had in mind? :-)

No one in particular. Hopefully someone I don't actually hate. :>

He's among my favorites of yours. Another brilliant piece.

He rather reminds me of myself in my youth. I've stood in similar poses with a cigarette dangling from my lips, covered in the blood of others. I loved and miss Karate.

I'd like to be in that shape too. :)

Another great job.

Were you also a kangaroo? Then the resemblance would indeed be uncanny!

Seriously though, I'm jealous. I did tae kwon do when I was younger, but my parents couldn't afford the sparring equipment for me. I wish I had the experience, because strategizing things on a physical level is something I just cannot do well. :P

I really hated giving it up. It got too expensive for me too, and good schools here were SOOO hard to find. (Tae Kwon Do is EVERYWHERE, but I was looking for combat/practical martial arts, not sports.) So for about 20 years I've been "trying to get back into it." I figure I'm too old now to worry about it, and I'm certainly too far out of shape. But I loved it.
